Combating Deregulation

Big businesses and their political allies are constantly fighting to block or repeal important public protections. Right now, they are mounting a concerted effort to weaken regulations across the board, including rules that keep our food safe to eat all the way to rules that safeguard the financial markets.

Public Citizen works with the Congress and federal agencies to combat industry’s relentless resistance to common sense public protections. We also work to ensure that federal agencies are enforcing the rules that are already on the books.
